Graduate Medical Education Site Coordinator

Summary of Position:

Help shape the future of medical education while leading the administrative operations that support our residents, faculty, and academic programs.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Graduate Medical Education Site Coordinator to oversee the administrative functions of the Hand Surgery department's Faculty Medical Practice and Residency Program. In this influential role, you will partner with physician leaders, Program Directors, faculty, residents, hospital leadership, and outside agencies to ensure efficient operations and continued compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee residency program and faculty practice operations, including ACGME compliance, accreditation, recruitment, credentialing, rotations, orientation, graduation, faculty onboarding, and departmental events.
• Supervise and develop administrative staff while managing schedules, payroll, performance, and administrative support for approximately 50 employees, faculty members, and residents.
• Manage departmental budgets, expenses, purchasing, financial reporting, data collection, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with Program Directors, physician leaders, GME, medical staff, hospital departments, and outside agencies to improve program quality, compliance, and efficiency.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Three to four years of experience as an administrator or coordinator for a residency training program required. (One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of ACGME institutional requirements.
• Knowledge of state, federal, accreditation, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of hospital medical staff credentialing, medical education, and medical staff operations.
• Experience with office operations and financial management preferred.
• Strong leadership, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with relevant computer software and administrative systems.
