Description

Barnes Aerospace East Granby MRO has an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic goal-oriented individual to play an integral role in manufacturing operations. Core Responsibilities:



  • Review, research and organize RFQ (request for quotes).
  • Work closely with customers and sales to understand quote and product requirements (quality, timing, prints, revision levels, etc.).
  • Develop formal quotes from engineering estimates and sales direction, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Communicate with Sales team regarding quote status and follow up.
  • Timely and accurate entering of new orders and amendments into Sales Order System.
  • Support production planning through timely and accurate assembly of work order packets.
  • Monitor progress of RFQs through the quote process, ensuring best possible turn and expediting quotes where appropriate.
  • Maintain quote/Purchase Order/RFQ and other files as required.
  • Direct incoming calls to the appropriate department/employee.
  • Support Customer Service, Product Engineering, and Sales team on various projects and tasks.
  • Maintain leadership standard work.
  • Serve as a back up to production and special-order customer service positions.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications:



  • 5 years related customer service experience. Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • PC aptitude in a Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving techniques to assist in resolving inquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate across all levels of internal management and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently to multi-task handling simultaneous work assignments and projects and drive "Lean" process improvements.


Education Requirements:



  • Associate's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations or related discipline is a plus
