Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Data Quality / Governance Analyst to support data integrity, metadata management, and cross-task data harmonization for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role validates data sources, enforces metadata rules, manages data dictionaries, and ensures data accuracy for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.

The Data Quality / Governance Analyst works closely with Task 2 and Task 3 teams, dashboard developers, system owners, and PMO leadership to ensure enterprise-wide data consistency and compliance with governance standards.

This position is fully remote.



Duties & Responsibilities

The Data Quality / Governance Analyst will:

    Validate data sources and evaluate accuracy, completeness, and reliability of incoming datasets.
  • Maintain and update data dictionaries, metadata definitions, tagging standards, and classification rules.
  • Ensure consistency of KPIs, metrics, and data fields across Task 2 and Task 3 reporting requirements.
  • Perform data reconciliation, profiling, cleansing, and quality checks.
  • Support cross-task data harmonization and integration workflows.
  • Identify data discrepancies, gaps, anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with analysts, dashboard developers, and system SMEs to align on data definitions.
  • Maintain documentation for data governance procedures, metadata rules, and quality standards.
  • Track data lineage, source changes, and data dependency impacts.
  • Support compliance with federal data governance and reporting standards.
  • Provide input to the Dashboard Management Plan and data architecture processes.


Qualifications

Clearance Requirement

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher.

Education (Required)

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience (Required)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data quality, data governance, metadata management, or related analytics roles.
  • Experience developing or maintaining data dictionaries and metadata rules.
  • Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, profiling, or cleansing.
  • Experience supporting cross-team or cross-system data harmonization in federal or enterprise environments.

Technical Knowledge (Required)

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management practices, and lineage tracking.
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL, or data analysis tools for profiling and validation.
  • Understanding of KPI frameworks and standardized metric definitions.

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Experience working with BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data environments or ETL tools.

Certifications

Preferred:

  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Data governance, data management, or analytics certifications

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple technical and business teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to track, reconcile, and harmonize complex datasets.
