Job Summary

This is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite.

Grady Health System is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic IT Project Manager to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of 30+ concurrent IT projects supporting critical hospital operations, clinical systems, and administrative infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in structured communication using the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) framework to ensure clear, actionable, and professional interactions with all stakeholders across the healthcare enterprise.

Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all activities associated with assigned staff, development and support of assigned Clinical System systems, projects, and end user requests, as well as, manage, monitor, and track data file transfers to and from end users and external agencies. Provide recommendations to senior management regarding type and number of resources required to efficiently support software applications and complete assigned projects and tasks completed according to specification and in a timely manner. Ensure assigned software applications, interfaces, and PC software applications (i.e. FTPs) are current, monitored, documented, and staff cross trained to ensure efficient service to the health system, end users, external agencies., and complies with all regulatory requirements and applicable hospital wide policies and procedures, Ensure assigned production software application changes including the implementation of new software applications are presented to the IS Change Control Committee for approval. Ensure all production scheduled system downtime is approved by the director.

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in Project Management.

- Experience as a programmer analyst, which includes managerial responsibility.

- Experience in the implementation of clinical systems in a mainframe and server environment is a must.

- Bachelors degree preferred.
