We are seeking a detail-oriented and professionalCollections Representativeto manage business-to-business accounts receivable and help ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.This role will monitor overdue accounts, communicate with customers regarding past-due invoices, negotiate payment solutions, and partner with internal departments to support credit decisions and maintain accurate account records.

Responsibilities



  • Investigate, analyze, and follow up on overdue customer accounts.
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls and email correspondence with customers and internal teams.
  • Communicate with customers regarding account balances, reasons for non-payment, and credit terms.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and schedules based on customer circumstances.
  • Review daily orders for credit holds or release based on account status.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information and document correspondence and collection activity.
  • Coordinate customer credit changes with the Credit Department.
  • Document customer financial information for further credit analysis.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal departments.
  • Organize and prioritize daily responsibilities to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications



  • Must live within60 milesof our Houston location.
  • Minimum 1 year of similar administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Stable employment history and strong work ethic.
  • Professional demeanor and positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
