Overview

LMI is seeking an Acquisition Program Coordinator to support a Department of War (DoW) mission partner with the integration, governance, and execution of complex capability-development and acquisition activities. This position will coordinate across program offices, requirements organizations, engineering teams, contracting activities, logistics stakeholders, test organizations, industry partners, and operational users to improve decision quality and accelerate the delivery of mission-relevant capabilities. This position requires an active SECRET security clearance.

The Program Coordinator will serve as a trusted integrator for senior government leaders, translating strategic priorities into executable actions, maintaining visibility of cost, schedule, performance, and risk, and ensuring that acquisition, technical, test, contracting, logistics, and operational activities remain aligned. The ideal candidate combines defense acquisition experience, disciplined program management, executive-level communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional efforts in a complex, high-tempo mission environment.

Active SECRET security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate integrated program activities across requirements, acquisition, engineering, contracting, logistics, test and evaluation, cybersecurity, and operational stakeholder organizations.
  • Support senior leaders in translating strategic priorities and operational needs into coordinated program actions, decision points, governance activities, and executable plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and synchronize program plans, schedules, action trackers, risk registers, decision logs, briefing products, and executive-level correspondence.
  • Monitor program cost, schedule, performance, technical, contracting, and operational risks; identify emerging issues and coordinate mitigation actions with responsible stakeholders.
  • Support development and staffing of acquisition strategies, requirements documents, test strategies, contract-related documentation, milestone products, fielding plans, and life-cycle sustainment inputs.
  • Plan and facilitate integrated product teams, working groups, program reviews, executive forums, and decision briefings; document outcomes and drive actions through closure.
  • Integrate test and evaluation considerations early in the acquisition life cycle to improve decision-quality data, reduce duplication, manage technical risk, and accelerate capability delivery.
  • Coordinate engagements with Army, Joint, SOCOM, program executive office, operational, congressional, and industry stakeholders as directed by government leadership.
  • Analyze program data and stakeholder inputs to identify dependencies, gaps, redundancies, schedule conflicts, and opportunities for improved acquisition outcomes.
  • Support modernization initiatives involving software-intensive systems, artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities, DevSecOps delivery models, modular open systems approaches, and emerging operational technologies.
  • Prepare concise, decision-focused briefings and written products for senior executives and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote collaborative governance, disciplined follow-through, and shared accountability across geographically and organizationally dispersed teams.
