Position Description:

A full-time postdoctoral position is immediately available in Dr. Chen's laboratory within the Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa. The focus of the research is to investigate the signaling mechanisms underlying the development of obesity and breast cancer.

The project will investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying obesity/diabetes development and breast cancer progression using a combination of biochemical and molecular approaches in cultured cells, xenograft models, and genetically engineered mice. The ideal candidate should have valid authorization to work in the United States and a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry, with substantial experience in cell culture and signal transduction research. A solid publication record and excellent references from Ph.D. research are required. Experience with animal models is preferred, and proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential. Education Requirement:

PhD degree in a biomedical related science.

Required Qualifications:

A strong publication record and excellent references from PhD research

A strong molecular biology and biochemistry background andtissue culture skills and experience in studying signal transduction.

Proficiency in communicating and writing in English is required

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience of working with animals is preferred
