What to Expect Tesla is looking for an extremely motivated Engineer to design, fabricate,installand commission custom parts and equipment. This is an R&D role that requires individuals who thrive in an ever-changing, fast paced environment.The workcontent of the job role will change daily as new challenges arise. This role will involve solving design problems that areidentifiedin commissioning as well asassistingin engineeringturn keysolutions for next generation equipment. There is also an opportunity to conduct trials tooptimizespecific process elements. What You'll Do Observethe production line to rapidly generate custom design fixes that increase OEE Work with operators and maintenance technicians to improve operability Generate CAD models and fabrication drawings Oversee parts fabrication and inspect for quality Generate installation and start up procedures for equipment modifications Oversee complex installations Ensure seamless integration of machine upgrades What You'll Bring Fluency inSolidworks Experience designing custom parts Competency with tolerancing and GD&T Knowledge of parts fabrication methods and limitations. Experience personally fabricating parts would be ideal.
