The pay range for this position is $18.00-$22.31 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Health Information & Teleradiology Associate to join our team. As a Health Information & Teleradiology Associate, you will be responsible for providing administrative and technological support for the teleradiology department by sending radiologic images over WAN and LAN between centers and to radiologists. Works to ensure all record requests from patients, referring physicians, attorneys, internal departments, etc. are fulfilled in an appropriate manner and all patient records are accurately maintained. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday rotating shifts each week from 7:30am-4:00-pm and 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(50%) Technological Support

1. Copy CD's of exams that are read outside as needed
2. Forward images and paperwork to appropriate radiologist and location
3. Assist Radiologist Assistant with entering outside reads, networking and assigning cases
4. Check ACUO, Merge PACS and computers for proper function
5. Troubleshoot FusionRIS, ACUO and MergePacs
6. Check FusionRIS for each site and modality for pending manual assignments
7. Check with on-call radiologist concerning exams that need to be networked to their homes on a daily basis
8. Ensure that after hour reads are set up for the radiologist responsible for reading the scan
9. Follow up with radiologist if previous day's exams not read
10. Serve as the operational lead on all things related to research

(45%) Medical Records Administration & Administrative Support
1. Ensure that all incoming and outgoing medical report requests are processed on a daily basis
2. Answer telephone requests for patient files from referring physician offices and patients
3. Prepare the daily CD's and reports for delivery and route images to the various services and platforms
4. File and organize lists of outgoing images and reports
5. Ship all other items leaving the clinic using preferred shipper as needed
6. Find and retrieve outside images for doctors, technologists and research
7. Communicate with attorneys and insurance companies regarding patients
8. Communicate with patients to ensure they receive the records they have requested
9. Follow all HIPAA guidelines for release of information
10. Create addendums, amendments and hospital report tracking for results (example: pathology)

(5%) Other Duties and Projects as Assigned

Required:
1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
3. Data entry experience
4. Proficient with using computer systems and typing
