OVERVIEW Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and systems that support quality services and ongoing program accreditation. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Three to five years' experience in clinical nursing with required program specific patient population. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN required; will consider candidates currently in an accredited BSN Completion Program. Master's degree preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice Dual licensure preferred Membership in a professional nursing organization Approved CPR or BLS certification required Certification in a related specialty within 3 years per program guidelines (example: stroke, chest pain, heart failure) OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Participate in the development of Program specific care systems at the community, state, and/or national levels. Take an active part in community outreach programs Monitor state & regulatory requirements Monitor & respond to changes in the Program specific accreditation standards and serve as liaison regarding these changes LEVEL OF SUPERVISION Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of a quality plan, which is multi-disciplinary and focused on patient outcomes. Serve as the coordinator of the identification, investigation, reporting and follow up of incidents and quality issues throughout the program while maintaining confidentiality. Supervise the collecting, coding, scoring, and developing of processes for validation of data entered into the registry. Sufficiently understands the Program specific structures and processes to be capable of facilitating performance improvement activities, compiling trend reports, and conducting research while protecting confidentiality.
