Location: McPherson, KS

$19.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical, manufacturing, fabrication, or trade school training is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.


Experience Requirements



  • 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, machine operation, or a production environment preferred.
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, lasers, plasma tables, saws, or similar machinery.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications to produce high-quality fabricated components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.


Job Duties



  • Fabricate custom metal components from blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment including saws, press brakes, laser cutting, and plasma cutting machines.
  • Measure, cut, form, and fit materials to precise specifications.
  • Select and stage materials required for production jobs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to maintain workflow and quality standards.
  • Complete production reporting, labor tracking, and quality documentation.
  • Move materials and finished components safely using cranes, carts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to deliver high-quality custom products on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety and quality procedures.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform production activities throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent use of hands, tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing environment.
