This Product Management Principal position will be on the Experience Product team, responsible for leading and advancing the strategic customer experiences to achieve market-leading differentiation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define & Execute Future State Strategy:Lead the strategic roadmap and vision for future-state products, specifically assessing and closing criticalNetwork 2.0 gaps.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment (One FedEx):Direct the long-term vision to unify customer experiences, driving satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost-reduction across channels.
  • Manage Executive Forums:Lead and coordinate high-level steering committees and executive forums to guarantee corporate accountability and progress toward performance goals

Performs Activities/Roles Such As:

  • Thought Leadership & Innovation:Employs advanced product development expertise to direct complex opportunity assessments, oversee project teams, and steer quality initiatives.
  • Cross-Channel Experience Design:Defines and champions ideal, unified customer experiences by mapping end-to-end customer journeys and establishing success metrics.
  • Implementation & Deployment Management:Manages the deployment of complex customer experiences, new product enhancements, and business processes across multiple vendors, teams, and customer touchpoints.
  • Executive Storytelling:Demonstrates outstanding presentation and storytelling skills, using facts and data to pitch strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partnership & Collaboration:Builds collaborative relationships across internal departments and with external vendors to coordinate customer research and validate key business assumptions.
  • Team Development:Coaches, mentors, and develops team members, advocating for a customer-centered culture

Skills / Knowledge / Experience Considered a Plus:

  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership:Proven success in taking complete ownership of complex opportunity assessments, strategic definitions, and product roadmaps from concept to launch.
  • Cross-Functional Team & Vendor Leadership:Advanced experience leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and managing vendors to deliver high-priority initiatives.
  • Customer-Centered Design & Design Thinking:Deep expertise leveraging design-thinking principles to visualize customer needs, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize internal operations.
  • Feasibility & Value Assessments:Ability to conduct return-on-investment (ROI) analyses, value impact assessments, and system impact evaluations to prioritize features.
  • Dynamic Presentation & Storytelling:Highly proficient in leveraging PowerPoint, metrics, and visual storytelling to guide executive decision-making
  • Quality Driven Management (QDM):Solid understanding ofQDM or Lean Six Sigmaprinciples to resolve complex issues and uncover the root causes of business problems
  • Comfort in Ambiguity:Demonstrated ability to remain highly organized, flexible, positive, and self-motivated within fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Minimum Education

Master's Degree/equivalent in product marketing, economics, business, or related field.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Superior knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis.

Expert communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring and solving skills.

Superior executive presence, human relations, networking and influencing skills.

Strong project management and project management leadership experience.

Pay: Level E28; Memphis range: $8,452.14/mo - $14,368.63/mo

Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location four (4) times per week.
