Massage Therapist - Outpatient Hospice

Lakeview is looking to hire a Massage Therapist to join our Hospice team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Performs in-home massage therapy services for terminally ill patients in a professional and compassionate manner utilizing massage therapy techniques; documents each session in Epic; Performs assessment of patient to determine appropriateness for massage intervention, provides massage as indicated, and assesses patient's response to treatment. Utilizes massage techniques to improve the patient's overall levels of pain, anxiety and/or nausea, and functional ability, per the patient's goal for treatment. Provides education to other health care team members on how massage may enhance the patient's plan of care.

Location: East Metro (ex. Stillwater, Oak Park Heights, Oakdale)

Work Schedule: 4 days/week. M-F 8a-4:30p.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  
  
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  
  
  
  • Licensed as a Massage Therapist or Bodywork Therapist through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. If not present at hire, must be obtained within 4 months of hire date.
  • Must have a vehicle, driver's license, and current auto insurance. Must meet all criteria required under Lakeview's Automobile Liability Guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  
  
  
  • 2 or 4 year degree (post high school education)
  • Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program
  
  
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  
  
  
  • One or more years of previous massage therapy experience; preferably in a hospital, clinical or hospice setting
  • Experience using EPIC
  • Experience working with patients of a variety of ages, health conditions and knowledge/experience with patients nearing end of life (i.e., neonatal, oncology, hospice, etc.)
