Job Description

The Marketing Automation & Quality Technologist supports all aspects of Marketing Automation and Quality Assurance. This role is responsible for optimizing marketing automation technologies and campaigns to enable communication with students throughout their lifecycle. The position ensures the accuracy, functionality, and effectiveness of automated marketing campaigns and workflows, identifying and resolving errors while verifying audience segmentation to ensure communications reach the intended audiences.

This is a regular full-time position working with our Marketing Team out of our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct QA checks on all outgoing communications for Email and Engagement team campaigns, including:
    • Audience segmentation
    • Smart lists
    • Links and link tracking
    • Content optimization
    • Alignment with ticket requests
  • Test and optimize campaigns on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze audiences to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Email and Engagement teams to support technical needs.
  • Provide regular, detailed reporting to Email and Engagement teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to maintain consistency, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Marketing Automation

  • Support day-to-day operations of the Lifecycle Team.
  • Manage data collection, standardization, and normalization.
  • Assist with administration of Marketo and related business applications, including:

  • Help define, implement, and maintain marketing automation best practices, including:
    • Data quality and hygiene
    • List management
    • Content optimization
    • General troubleshooting
  • Research new technologies, software, and plugins to enhance Lifecycle capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather research and implement new processes.
  • Execute marketing campaigns and best practices within Marketo, including:
    • Lead scoring
    • Profiling and segmentation
    • System integration
    • Data hygiene
    • Optimization
    • Troubleshooting
    • Reporting
  • Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams on issues involving sales and marketing tools and databases.
  • Design and optimize integrations between marketing technology platforms and CRM systems.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain marketing automation operations, including:
    • Programs
    • Behavior-based campaigns
    • Lead scoring
    • Email templates
    • Forms
    • Customer segmentation
  • Develop and maintain KPI, campaign, and performance reporting.
  • Conduct A/B testing to improve customer experiences and conversion rates.
  • Design and maintain an actionable prospect database and associated processes to ensure long-term data hygiene and list management.
  • Develop and deploy behavior- and event-triggered email communications utilizing dynamic content.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and internal stakeholders to develop campaign assets that drive results.
  • Create and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including:
    • Email
    • Browser notifications
    • SMS
    • Other emerging channels
  • Experiment with new technologies and leverage personalization to create meaningful customer journeys.
  • Escalate critical issues appropriately and promptly.
  • Attend vendor meetings, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of:

  • Knowledge of integrated marketing communications.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in:

Experience

  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience administering Marketo.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in marketing operations, including:
    • Marketing automation
    • CRM management
    • Metrics and reporting
  • Experience in a B2B, fintech, or fast-paced technology environment preferred.
  • Experience with:
    • Workfront
    • Jira
    • Wiki platforms
    • Salesforce
    • Tableau

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.

Position & Application Details
