The Contribution You'll Bring to this Role:

As a Dry Chemical Installer with U.S. Chemical Storage, you will install, assemble, and secure dry chemical fire-suppression system components within chemical storage buildings and containerized structures. Reporting to the Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager, you will complete installation work in accordance with approved drawings, manufacturer requirements, company quality standards, and applicable safety procedures. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safe, high-quality work will help ensure each unit is completed correctly and efficiently.


About the Team

You will work closely with Production, Fabrication, Assembly, Electrical, Quality, and Engineering personnel in a manufacturing and assembly environment. The team collaborates to resolve installation issues, maintain production flow, protect system components from damage or contamination, and ensure completed work meets approved drawings, specifications, and company quality requirements.


What You'll Do at Justrite

  • Install dry chemical fire-suppression system components in chemical storage buildings and containerized structures.
  • Read and follow production drawings, installation diagrams, bills of material, work instructions, and equipment specifications.
  • Measure, locate, drill, cut, mount, and secure system components according to approved layouts.
  • Install piping, tubing, brackets, nozzles, tanks/cylinders, control components, and associated hardware as required by the design.
  • Assemble threaded, mechanical, and other approved connections using appropriate tools and installation methods.
  • Verify proper positioning, alignment, support, and securement of installed components.
  • Inspect materials and components before installation and report damaged, incorrect, or missing parts.
  • Perform installation quality checks and correct deficiencies before the unit proceeds to the next stage of production.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Fabrication, Assembly, Quality, Engineering, and Production personnel when installation issues arise.
  • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and material documentation as required.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
  • Follow established procedures for handling dry chemical agents and fire-suppression equipment.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable environmental procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, continuous-improvement activities, and quality initiatives.
  • Perform other manufacturing and installation duties as assigned.


Your Skills & Expertise

Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous mechanical assembly, piping, fire-suppression, construction, fabrication, or industrial installation experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, wrenches, measuring devices, and related installation equipment.
  • Ability to read measurements and interpret basic mechanical drawings and installation instructions.
  • Ability to identify common fittings, fasteners, piping components, and installation hardware.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience installing dry chemical or special-hazard fire-suppression systems.
  • Experience working with chemical storage buildings, hazardous-material storage structures, modular buildings, or containerized systems.
  • Knowledge of fire-protection piping and mechanical installation practices.
  • Familiarity with applicable NFPA requirements, manufacturer installation instructions, and workplace safety standards.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing or production environment.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work in confined or limited-access areas.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, position, and install materials and equipment within company-established lifting requirements.
  • Ability to work from ladders or approved elevated work platforms when required.


  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety footwear, and respiratory protection when applicable.


Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in an industrial manufacturing and assembly environment and may involve exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations, moving equipment, fabrication operations, and chemical-related materials. Employees are required to follow all established safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.

Compensation:

This position offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience, qualifications, and location. Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as relevant experience and performance. Additional compensation eligibility, if applicable, will be communicated during the hiring process.
