CAS is currently seeking an Academic Year Undergraduate Intern in AI R&D for Science. This is a 5-6-month placement for the 2026 fall (August-December) semester at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. This internship is designed for undergraduate students in the chemical, biological, biomedical, physical, and materials sciences - or in computer engineering or data science - with an interest in applied research and development in AI for science. The Intern will work on a defined project - such as a modeling approach, data pipeline, or algorithm evaluation - running experiments and analyses under the mentorship of the CAS Data Analytics and Insights team, which provides regular feedback and guidance. It concludes with a technical findings report presented to the immediate team. Job Accountabilities:
