In the role of Senior Power Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for buildings and facilities
- Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil
- Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects
- Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders and performing in-place soil compaction testing
- Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school or Associate degree
- Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Completion of a recognized five-year electrical apprenticeship program and submission of an apprenticeship certificate, and a minimum of 10 years journey level experience, or possession of a State Master Electrician license and 5 years experience at that level,
- Sufficient journey/master level electrical construction and/or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment, with emphasis on work on 120V-480V systems and familiarity with high voltage( 480- 21,000 volts) systems
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and other appropriate electrical standards and specifications
- Experience with supervisor control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)
- Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
