Job Profile Summary:The Support Services Manager will provide leadership, direction, and supervising oversight for continuous improvement of the standard SS operating model within the facility; Provides staff leadership, making sound business decisions in support of the hospital's mission and vision. Demonstrates leadership in providing an optimal environment for patient care, safety, service, and value. Manages the day-to-day operations of their associates and departmental responsibilities; ensures a consistently high level of cleanliness and aesthetics for patients, visitors, and staff. Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

* Maintains a high standard of personal appearance among self and team members in accordance with departmental and Hospital dress codes.
* Maintains a positive and professional relationship with the Support Services Director.
* Completes assignments within the time frame established by the Director and handles specific customer needs with a sense of urgency.
* Manages the necessary and required resources for the environmental services department and provides recommendations for staffing levels, products, and equipment. Completes all Human Resources responsibilities for interviewing, hiring, managing, staff development, corrective actions and / or staff engagement needs.
* Manages all quality improvement initiatives regarding training, auditing, inspecting, rounding, and making recommendations as needed.
* Collaborates with the Support Services Director to establish ways to track operations and improvement initiatives
* Promotes a culture of safety, hand hygiene, patient experience, as well as employee engagement and retention.
* Supports Hospital mission statement, values, and departmental mission statement and philosophy.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred- 5 year of experience
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred
  • Designated trainer status for Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (T-CHEST) or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (T-CSCT) preferred
Work Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
