IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Urbandale, Iowa to work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. Over 10-12 weeks, you will gain hands-on experience supporting real project work alongside experienced professionals. In this role, you will help the team work within project budgets, collaborate with cross-functional disciplines, and support project progress through documentation and periodic job site observations. You will contribute to building projects with strong higher-education, lab, campus, and health-science coordination while advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030. At a Glance Location: Urbandale, IA What You'll Do * Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings What You'll Bring Required Education * Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required Required Skills/Abilities Preferred About the Team * Work is heavily higher-education focused, with recurring mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and energy-modeling scope on classrooms, science buildings, student housing, and health-science projects. That pattern suggests a strong full-service MEP team with especially solid experience in lab, campus, and complex student-facility coordination.
