About the Role

The Senior AI Solutions Specialist - Finance identifies, develops, implements, and optimizes AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, decision-making, employee experience, and business outcomes across the Finance organization. The role serves as a trusted connection point among Finance, Operations, Information Technology teams and end users. It partners with Finance leaders to understand workflows, translate business needs into practical use cases, build and scale solutions, drive responsible adoption, and measure value. The ideal candidate combines strong business-process knowledge with hands-on AI and automation experience, strong analytical judgment, and the communication skills needed to guide cross-functional transformation while maintaining governance, security, compliance, and financial-control requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Partner directly with each Finance function and its leaders to understand business processes, pain points, operational priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate process-discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workflow-mapping exercises, and requirements gathering; document current-state and future-state processes.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend opportunities for increased efficiency through AI and automation.
  • Translate business needs into practical AI use cases and develop requirements and implementation plans that deliver measurable business value.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, complexity, risk, scalability, data readiness, control requirements, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Copilot, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, and other approved enterprise tools.
  • Partner with IT, Information Security, Data & Analytics, and external vendors to design and implement secure, scalable solutions and integrations.
  • Ensure solutions align with company policies and enterprise requirements for responsible AI, governance, privacy, cybersecurity, records management, compliance, financial controls, and data protection.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple AI initiatives; track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, outcomes, and stakeholder communications.
  • Create and maintain performance metrics that track adoption, usage, solution health, productivity, cycle time, accuracy, data quality, cost savings, and employee experience.
  • Drive adoption of approved AI tools, including Copilot and other enterprise AI platforms, through demonstrations, workshops, office hours, coaching, and hands-on user support.
  • Create user guides, training materials, prompt and workflow best practices, governance guidance, and other enablement resources for Finance employees.
  • Provide ongoing support to users incorporating AI into daily work; gather feedback, address adoption barriers, and improve solutions after launch.
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, Finance transformation trends, enterprise platforms, and industry best practices; evaluate their relevance to Finance priorities.
  • Help develop and execute the Finance AI strategy, adoption roadmap, operating model, and continuous-improvement agenda.
  • Regularly communicate project updates, findings, recommendations, risks, and results to business partners and leadership stakeholders.

You have these skills:

  • AI & Technology Knowledge - Strong knowledge of Generative AI, enterprise AI platforms, low-code/no-code solutions, workflow automation, agents, enterprise search, and digital transformation.
  • Hands-on Solution Development - Demonstrated ability to build prototypes, proofs of concept, and working solutions with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools.
  • Enterprise Integration - Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, enterprise systems, ERP and financial platforms, reporting tools, productivity software, collaboration tools, data workflows, and structured and unstructured data.
  • Finance Acumen - Understanding of Finance, reporting, accounting, planning, reconciliations, controls, audit, and business operations.
  • Problem Solving - Gathers and analyzes information skillfully, identifies root causes, evaluates alternatives, and translates complex business challenges into practical solutions.
  • Business Value Orientation - Focuses on measurable outcomes rather than experimentation for its own sake; evaluates impact, feasibility, ROI, and scalability.
  • Collaboration - Builds solutions with users, not only for them; works effectively across Finance, Business Operations, IT, Information Security, and vendor teams.

And these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, project coordination, product support, business analysis, technology, Finance transformation, digital transformation, AI enablement, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing Generative AI, enterprise AI platforms, low-code/no-code solutions, workflow automation, agents, enterprise search, and/or digital transformation.
  • Experience working in, supporting, or consulting with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or related business functions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, or comparable low-code AI and automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes, mapping workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and implementing operational improvements.
  • Ability to build prototypes, proofs of concept, and working solutions and to collaborate on APIs, integrations, enterprise systems, and data workflows.
  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional initiatives involving business, technology, security, and data stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project-coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of financial processes, enterprise governance, information security, privacy, compliance, and internal-control requirements.

Extra credit if you have:

  • Preferred: experience with Finance transformation, AI adoption, change management, training, or user-enablement programs.
  • Preferred: experience with ERP and financial platforms such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or similar enterprise systems; reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or performance-management experience.
  • Preferred: exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, enterprise search, data analysis, or other advanced automation and AI technologies.

The annual salary range is posted for this position in California. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
