Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Certification in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to store customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security-related concerns, reporting observations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate with site contacts and public responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
