Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Service Coordinator/Receptionist supporting our breast surgery clinic in Lone Tree.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to support a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering comprehensive breast care. This role is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgical consultations while ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to outstanding patient service.

Salary Range: $18.29-$25.00

Responsibilities

-Greats patients with a warm and welcoming smile and checks them in.

-Schedules new patients and return appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.

-Obtains correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and computer.

- Schedules outpatient appointments/testing upon request.

-Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number and schedules appointment.

-Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.

-Handles incoming phone calls from patients needing to schedule or reschedule appointments.

-Provides patients with accurate and legible appointment cards. Documents no shows in patient's chart for missed visits. Follows up with patient to reschedule any missed appointments. -Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed.

-Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.

-Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.


Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.

Employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for computer work. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for telephone contacts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
