We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Fredericksburg, VA.

Requirements:

• Required Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS
• Required Skills: HELLP Syndrome, Neonatal Resuscitation, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Administration of blood & blood products, Antepartum, Antihypertensives, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), Assist with vaginal delivery, Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, Diabetes mellitus, Drawing Venous Blood, Epidural Anesthesia, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley catheter insertion/management, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, General Anesthesia, Hemorrhage/shock, High Risk Antepartum, Insulin drips, IV conscious sedation, Labor & Delivery, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Multiple Births, Multiple Gestation, NST (Non Stress Tests), Opioids, Pain assessment & management, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Premature Rupture of Membranes, Prostaglandins, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Recover C-Section, Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Starting and maintaining IVs, Sterile vaginal exam, Sterile vaginal exam, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of PCA (IV), Vaccine Administration, Vaginal Delivery, VBAC management / trial of labor, Wound assessment/care
