About the role

As a Director of Business Development, you will lead our Business Development Representative (BDR) team and play a critical role in our Field Sales department. You will be responsible for the overall strategy, execution, and development of initiatives for outbound scheduling, integrating technologies, Marketing collaboration, new methods and approaches to prospect new leads, as well as tradeshow efforts.

What you'll do
  • Lead, coach, and develop members of a highly effective and productive sales team while exemplifying the core values of the company
  • Lead the Business Development team to achieve and exceed all sales and activity targets and goals
  • Explore new opportunities, approaches, and methods for prospecting new leads and building Annual Recurring Revenue pipelines
  • Utilize CRM systems to track data and manage sales activities and KPIs, maintain accurate customer records, and report territory progress to senior management regularly
  • Accurately track data and proactively use it to drive and measure business objectives and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Revenue Operations and Marketing to build cohesive strategy, maintain a culture of accountability, and develop and assign targets and goals
  • Own all team hiring needs and provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new team members
  • Develop knowledge of company products and solutions while learning industry trends through ongoing product and industry training
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years experience in SaaS related B2B sales or a similar industry
  • 5+ years experience as a manager of people, leading employees and teams directly
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM software
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding challenging sales quotas and goals
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in managing and prioritizing competing demands by assessing data and balancing business needs and prospect/customer experiences
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and feedback, identifying and working through new iterations and improvements on a regular basis
  • Strong ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information
  • Ability to make decisions, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and keep stakeholders informed on progress
  • Experience selling software or technology solutions in Tech or SaaS related industries
  • Results-driven mindset, with a passion for exceeding goals and driving revenue growth
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of complex sales processes
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
