Title: Technical Engineer (MES)

Location: Lake County, IL 60064 |will allow for remote

Seeking a Technical Engineer experienced in setting up manufacturing execution solutions on a pharmaceutical shop floor.

Job Description:

  • Supports the deployment, standardization, and operational readiness of MES environments across client's manufacturing sites.
  • This role focuses on imaging, workstation configuration, application deployment, and device readiness to ensure MES end user computing solutions are secure, compliant, and reliable at global sites.
  • Subject Matter Expert that executes deployment tasks for MES solutions, including site rollout support, technical readiness, and post-deployment stabilization
  • Assist with standard deployment templates, reporting, inventory tracking, and configuration management
  • Support change management and validation documentation activities
  • Support configuration, validation, and testing activities associated with MES implementation
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites and support teams to ensure deployment execution aligns with approved requirements
  • Ensure deployment work follows client's security, quality, validation, and compliance standards
  • Working closely with MES engineers, site teams, validation, quality, infrastructure, and vendors, this role supports the rollout of standardized Windows images, Group Policy configurations, SCCM-based application deployment, and other deployment-related activities required to enable stable MES operations.
  • Troubleshoot and document deployment-related issues involving software, hardware, network connectivity, and interfaces
  • Partner with sites to support modernization efforts, including replacement of legacy devices and connectivity improvements



Job Requirements:

  • Must have experience with MES, and GXP. Experience with POMSnet is highly preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of POMSnet
  • Experience in manufacturing execution systems
  • Must have strong communication skills, good problem solving skills and be forward thinking.
  • Bachelors degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Provides technical design, implementation and life cycle support of solutions in a specific technology field or discipline (e.g. network LAN/WAN, server, desktop, etc.)
  • Applies IT knowledge, specialized technical experience, research, and analysis to create technical solution specification that meets requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in common tools that support area of expertise Drives implementation and provides technical support for escalated operational incidents and problems.
  • Monitors and reports task assignment progress and status as required and escalates risks and issues to key stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies, tools and engineering methods that are applicable within area of responsibility and expertise.
