Job Title: Material Handler, Senior Location: San Diego CA 92121 Shift: 1st Duration: 6 months Job Summary Support warehouse job picking and generate material requests for various programs and external customers. Support forklift operations for order picking and put-away/stocking efforts. The position involves material handling of warehouse inventory, packing and boxing devices, transferring items physically and systematically, and performing transactions within automated computer systems. The role requires the ability to remain focused under stress in a highly dynamic area and perform all functions with 100% accuracy. Responsibilities Assist with warehouse job picking. Generate/fill material requests for various programs and external customers. Perform forklift operations for order picking and put-away/stocking. Handle warehouse inventory. Stock and pull material. Pack and box devices. Transfer items physically and systematically. Perform transactions within automated computer systems. Remain focused under stress in a highly dynamic work area. Maintain 100% accuracy in all functions. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Good driving record. Detail-oriented and organized. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask. Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure. Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic. Ability to use hands and fingers; good manual dexterity. Good eyesight, both near and far. Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours per day. Experience 2-3 years of material handling/warehousing experience. Previous forklift experience is required. Previous forklift certification. Experience using hand trucks, pickers, and similar equipment. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and/or warehousing. Computer skills are associated with material warehousing, receiving, and/or shipping. High-level computer experience. Experience with software such as Oracle, AIMS, MRW, QPI, and Agile. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Requirements High School Diploma. Good driving record. Previous hands-on forklift experience - material handling experience alone is not sufficient. 2-3 years of material handling experience. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and/or warehousing. Computer skills related to material warehousing, receiving, and/or shipping. Previous forklift experience/certification. Experience with hand trucks, pickers, and similar equipment. Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under extreme pressure. Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours per day. Manual dexterity. Good near- and far-sighted eyesight. Ability to occasionally lift 25-50 lbs.
