What this job involves We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about hospitality and events to join our Chicago-based events team. The Event Analyst role supports the Salesforce Events Team by fielding all event requests from intake to assignment, managing the event calendar for a high-traffic event space, creating reports and dashboards to track KPIs, and working with vendors and partners for successful event execution. Success in this role requires timeliness, clear communication, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple clients at once. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Ticketing & Case Management * Event ticket triage and assignment to event leads via the Salesforce platform * Handle Simple Meeting Requests and scheduling, communicating with clients and taking ownership from start to finish * Manage and maintain the Ticketing Training Playbook, training new hires on ticket processes and reporting Data Analysis & Reporting * Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports to track KPIs related to events, including Events Dashboards, Team Dashboards, Traffic Flow, and YoY Metric Dashboards * Create and maintain individual team member dashboards and reports to ensure smooth workflow tracking and performance monitoring * Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in operational processes * Leverage survey and historical data to provide actionable insights for program enhancements * Handle ad hoc reporting to provide on-demand insights and analysis * Analyze space utilization data to identify trends, optimize event and workplace layouts, and provide actionable recommendations for improving campus efficiency Event Operations * Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements by optimizing existing processes and leveraging technology * Participate in decision-making processes related to team processes, aiming to optimize efficiency and streamline operations * Track and update 'Ohana Floor hours, accounting for special events and maintenance closures * Manage the Chicago Tower events calendar and event tracker * Run 'Ohana Floor Operations meetings as needed to inform all service partners and vendors * Work with the Senior Manager to ensure all internal programs are allocated and running smoothly, and escalate operational inefficiencies * Serve as the main event lead for select internal events and programs with multiple moving pieces, owning coordination from planning through execution * Manage vendor relationships and coordinate catering and other logistics involved in planning meetings and events * Own the behind-the-scenes logistics by submitting and tracking service case requests (furniture moves, janitorial, A/V, guest services) needed to keep managed events and programs running smoothly Technology & Systems Management * Serve as a subject matter expert on ticketing and reporting systems, troubleshooting issues and optimizing system usage * Partner with AMER REWS Events teams to prioritize enhanced system functionalities and resolve technical challenges * Serve as the primary point of contact for Chicago cross-functional escalation and communication regarding REWS ticketing system issues, ensuring effective problem resolution and operational continuity * Act as Chicago ticketing SME and team representative for the global ticketing group to ensure process changes and updates are communicated to the team Training & Documentation * Maintain and update training materials related to ticketing processes, dashboards, and reporting tools * Train team members on data analysis best practices, automation tools, and system functionalities * Document workflows and process improvements to ensure knowledge retention and scalability * Update and maintain the Simple Meeting resource document, sharing with clients as needed Event & Cross-Functional Support * Represent the site during events and collaborate with cross-functional groups as required * Maintain positive relationships with all members of the Salesforce organization and site customers by delivering exceptional customer service * Be available and responsive to the global nature of the business, with flexibility to work extended hours when necessary * Track Grand Piano requests and schedules, and communicate to all cross-functional 'Ohana Floor teams * Provide event support for large-scale events, and be available evenings for late events Required Qualifications * 5+ years in event management, event operations, or a relevant field * Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, Google Calendar, and Google Hangout * Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with and work with multiple clients at once * Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required (minimal) * Highly organized, with acute attention to detail * Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple projects at once Preferred Qualifications * Ability to analyze complex datasets and present insights in a clear and actionable manner * Strong experience in data analytics, dashboard development, and reporting tools * Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Einstein Analytics (ideal but not required), and Social Tables This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Expected compensation for this position: 66,080.00 - 82,600.00 USD per year Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
