New Model Program Engineer

Location: Allen Park, MI

Pay: $31.96+ per hour

Travel: Required

We are seeking a highly organized New Model Program Engineer to support the launch of new vehicle and powertrain programs within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineering or program management professional with experience coordinating cross-functional teams, resolving production issues, and supporting new product launches from development through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new model launch activities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Track, prioritize, and drive resolution of program issues with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate pre-production build events and support prototype vehicle activities.
• Oversee vehicle fleet planning, testing, evaluation, and disposition processes.
• Support engineering change management and ensure design updates are implemented effectively.
• Prepare program status reports, risk assessments, and leadership presentations.
• Facilitate launch meetings and communicate project milestones, challenges, and solutions.
• Monitor program budgets and support launch-related financial processes.
• Assist with the successful integration of launch teams into manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing, program management, product launch, or engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience using structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven decision making.
• 4+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with engineering change management, issue tracking, and project coordination is preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.
