Facility Manager

Position Summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a Facility Manager to oversee facility support operations for the AFRL Sensors Directorate (RY), including the Flex Ten Wall modular laboratory system.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and prioritize Back Shop work orders and projects so the team completes critical tasks on schedule.
• Meet regularly with government Facility Managers and RY Facilities Staff to review project status and report schedule-affecting issues.
• Track project funds, place purchase orders, and record all associated expenses.
• Resolve service and scheduling issues, and coordinate workload, materials procurement, and subcontractor services with the COR.
• Maintain full working knowledge of the Flex Ten Wall System used in the RY Building 620 complex.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in DoD Facilities Management, preferably with the Air Force.
• At least 5 years of experience as a supervisor or shop foreman.

Certifications & Screening

• Ability to obtain a favorable NACI or Tier 1 background investigation and CAC.
• Valid, unrestricted state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modular laboratory wall systems (e.g., Flex Ten Wall System) or comparable relocatable laboratory infrastructure.
