Timeline and Expectations

Werner will be posting the internship positions starting in late September which will run through the end of November. We will be selecting candidates to move forward with from HR phone screen to virtual hiring manager interview during this time.

Job Summary

The eCommerce Intern supports the development and continuous improvement of Werner's digital customer experience, with a primary focus on OneWerner.com. This position provides hands-on experience with website content management, behavioral and web analytics, user experience, website experimentation, search, and basic front-end development.

Through meaningful projects and day-to-day eCommerce activities, the intern will analyze how customers interact with Werner's digital tools, identify opportunities for improvement, assist with implementing website enhancements, and measure results. The position will also provide exposure to how eCommerce supports customers, sales, marketing, and other areas of the business

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of OneWerner.com and other digital customer experiences.
• Build, update, and manage website pages, landing pages, training content, event content, and other digital assets within Werner's content management and eCommerce platforms.
• Use HTML and CSS to build, style, and refine website content.
• Perform website quality assurance, including testing functionality, content accuracy, links, and responsive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Analyze website traffic, customer journeys, search behavior, and other digital performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Use behavioral analytics tools, including session recordings, funnels, and other available data, to identify areas of customer friction and abandonment.
• Analyze website search behavior and identify opportunities to improve search results, synonyms, redirects, merchandising, product data, and website content.
• Assist with evaluating and enhancing eCommerce product data and digital merchandising.
• Develop reports, recommendations, and documentation based on website analytics, customer behavior, and project findings.
• Help establish repeatable processes and best practices that support ongoing eCommerce optimization.
• Participate in eCommerce, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional meetings to understand business and customer needs.
• Participate in customer and sales meetings, website demonstrations, and other opportunities to gain firsthand understanding of how customers use Werner's digital tools.
• Support additional website, landing page, homepage, content, analytics, and eCommerce initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or another related field
