Job Summary
The Electrical Test Technician performs mechanical and electrical testing to support product development, sustaining engineering, and certification activities for electrical distribution products. This role assembles products and test setups, conducts testing in accordance with applicable industry standards, records test data, and supports test fixture maintenance and laboratory operations. The technician works on multiple projects while maintaining safety, quality, calibration, and 5S requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests in accordance with applicable UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable electrical testing standards and requirements.
• Perform dielectric, thermal, circuit configuration, vibration, and related testing as required.
• Complete pre- and post-test calibrations and verify test equipment readiness.
• Assemble products and test setups to support engineering testing and product development.
• Record accurate test results using standardized documentation and provide data to project engineers.
• Assist with the repair, replacement, and maintenance of test fixtures and maintain an inventory of available fixtures.
• Support multiple testing projects simultaneously to meet engineering schedules and testing requirements.
• Maintain laboratory organization and support 5S initiatives to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assist with developing and implementing laboratory safety requirements and follow established EHS procedures.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with other technicians to strengthen team capabilities.
• Perform additional testing and laboratory assignments as directed.

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years of related technical experience.
• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electronic Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical testing and accurately document test results.
• Computer skills for test documentation, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow applicable testing standards and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and team environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electronic Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Mechanical Technology from an accredited institution.

Work Experience

• 1-3 years of related technical experience.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Must support EHS requirements and laboratory 5S initiatives.
