Position Description Coordinates the movement of purchased and manufactured materials through the finishing department to meet the assembly production schedule. Job Responsibilities Coordinates and prioritizes work activities of assigned Finish Laborers to ensure correct parts are painted and packaged for Assembly. Coordinates flow of materials from weld and off site locations as well as shortage and rework items to ensure correct quantities are sent to assigned assembly line locations. Maintains accurate inventory records; corrects variances from scheduled cycle counts. Ensures established safe operating procedures are routinely practiced by all Finish Laborers. Implements visual inventory controls such as but not limited to: signage, containers, push carts, etc. and material handling equipment for continuous improvement opportunities Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education High School diploma Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 year experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory control environment Physical & Environmental Requirements Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material. Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
