Transportation Maintenance Supervisor

Transportation Maintenance Supervisor As the Transportation Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for oversight and planning direct or indirect maintenance activities for the rolling fleet for Arcwood Transport.

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Develops and manages a safe and productive workplace for respective Arcwood Transport or sub-contracted garage(s)
• Develops and maintains relationships with vendors; orders supplies and maintains parts inventory
• Reviews and approves all expenses related to inventories to ensure necessary equipment and part levels are maintained within budget; refers expenses to Manager as appropriate
• Reviews and/or writes manuals for maintenance activities, and develops files in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT)
• Plans, schedules, and establishes priorities / deadlines to ensure completion of maintenance activities in a safe environment, while meeting all dispatch obligations
• Ensures all work orders are accurate, appropriate parts are billed, and are closed out for end-of-month reporting
• Interviews, hires, trains, provides direction, and conducts performance evaluations for maintenance team members; establishes required shop hours accordingly
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance within the transportation industry (required)
• Previous supervisory experience (preferred)
