Sr Director, US Launch Lead - Solid Tumor

Role Summary

The US Launch Lead will serve as the commercial strategy and execution lead for a specific solid tumor asset anticipated to launch in approximately 18 months. This role is accountable for translating asset strategy into an integrated US launch plan, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and preparing the organization for strong in-market execution at launch.

This individual will serve as a strategic bridge between R&D, Global, and US Commercial, helping to shape asset strategy, market development, and organizational readiness to maximize long-term value and ensure successful commercialization at launch and through expansion into new disease areas.

The position operates in a highly matrixed environment and will lead the US launch workstream across Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Training, and other enabling functions. The Launch Lead will retain core planning responsibilities while shifting emphasis from early asset assessment to near-term launch readiness, promotional strategy, launch metrics, and execution oversight.

Core Responsibilities

• Launch Strategy & Integrated Planning: Lead development and refinement of the integrated US launch plan for one solid tumor asset; translate clinical profile, expected label, competitive dynamics, patient flow, and access considerations into a clear launch strategy; align near-term priorities, milestones, risks, and decision points across the launch window.
• US Promotional Messaging & Brand Strategy: Own creation of the US promotional messaging platform and launch strategy, including core brand positioning, value proposition, claims hierarchy, customer segmentation, and key strategic imperatives; partner with Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, and agency partners to ensure messaging is clinically grounded, compliant, differentiated, and execution-ready.
• Launch Metrics & Performance Management: Establish launch objectives, critical success factors, and leading/lagging performance metrics across demand, access, customer engagement, patient identification, adoption, and execution readiness; partner with Insights & Analytics and Finance to build launch dashboards, forecast assumptions, scenario planning, and governance routines for post-launch performance tracking.
• Cross-functional Launch Leadership: Chair or co-lead the US cross-functional launch team and ensure disciplined execution of launch workstreams, including marketing, medical, market access, patient services, diagnostics/patient identification, sales readiness, training, supply, and operations; drive clear ownership, decision-making, issue escalation, and senior leadership updates.
• Market Readiness & Execution: Lead near-term market readiness activities for the solid tumor launch, including competitive response planning, KOL and customer insight generation, payer and market access input, field force preparation, launch meeting strategy, and transition from pre-launch planning to in-market commercialization; anticipate barriers and define mitigation plans to support successful uptake.

Qualifications

• Education
• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive oncology commercial experience required, including substantial in-line marketing, brand strategy, or commercialization experience.
• Launch planning or launch readiness experience required.
• New product planning experience preferred.
• Experience partnering with Market Access and/or Insights & Analytics preferred.

• Launch analytics: ability to partner on forecasting, metrics, dashboards, scenario planning, and readiness tracking.
• Matrix leadership: ability to lead cross-functional launch teams, influence without authority, and drive accountability
• Strong communication: translating complex science into clear strategy
