This is a full-time, hybrid career opportunity based out of our Bonney Road office in Virginia Beach, VA or Corporate Headquarters location in Lancaster, PA.

Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and finalizing closed mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines. This role ensures that all documents are complete, accurate, and properly executed before delivery to investors or custodians. Incumbents will be cross-trained across all departmental functions and will typically process loan documents with a higher level of complexity.

Process more complex loan packages, provide support within all processing functions, advise and mentor junior staff and resolve escalated issues.
• Respond to investor suspense items and cure deficiencies promptly.
• Assists in preparing for investor audits and regulatory examinations by organizing and validating documentation and responding to audit findings.
• Scan and index all mortgage closing loan documents and trailing packages to create a retention file for all residential mortgage loans.
• Organize loan documents in accordance with investor and Fulton Bank requirements. Ensure all documents required are present and properly executed. Ensure all conditions on the final commitment are accounted for. Contact the settlement agent or branch for any missing documentation, as necessary.
• Upload and deliver mortgage file to designated investors for all loans in accordance with the commitment and delivery expiration dates. Deliver mortgage collateral documents to loan services for all loans in a timely fashion.

• Track and resolve post-closing document deficiencies
• Assist in preparing and submitting trailing documents
• Perform necessary functions to secure insurance from Housing and Urban Development, VA, and USDA on all government insured loans.

High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)

High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialty: business administration. (Preferred)

3 or more years banking, mortgage lending, or post-closing. (Required)

• Ability to assume responsibility requiring independent judgement and work with limited instructions or supervision (Required)
• Strong knowledge of mortgage documents and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA). (Required)
• Familiarity with LOS systems (e.g., Encompass) (Required)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills (Required)

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.56 - $29.38.
