Product License Data Specialist
Job Summary: Lafayette Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized analyst to support comprehensive product review, license management tracking, and contract oversight activities for a federal client. The ideal candidate will excel at validating procurement documentation, maintaining accurate technology product and license data across multiple systems, diagnosing quality issues, and supporting financial and contract management processes. Success in this role requires strong analytical abilities, comfort working with databases and tracking tools, and the ability to coordinate effectively across various stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and validate Requests to Initiate Purchase (RIPs) for template compliance, pricing accuracy, and alignment with historical data and renewal forecasts.
- Maintain and update product, license, and contract tracking systems by processing RIP uploads, resolving data quality issues, running database queries, and performing scheduled audits to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor automated reporting workflows, identify and troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate resolutions with technical and analytics teams.
- Support process improvement by updating SOPs, refining RIP templates, and standardizing documentation and tracking practices across the portfolio.
- Assist with the development of advanced contract management solutions, project management tools, and budget execution workbooks to strengthen operational efficiency.
- Provide backup support to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) functions and respond to data calls by compiling structured, accurate data for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information science, data analytics, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in a business, consulting, procurement, or data-focused role
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to maintain and update data systems, including executing data uploads, performing quality checks, and resolving discrepancies. Preferred experience in product, licenses management or contract tracking systems.
- Experience running database queries, using tracking tools, and working with data across multiple systems to ensure integrity and consistency
- Proficiency monitoring automated workflows, troubleshooting reporting or system issues, and coordinating remediation with technical teams
- Solid Excel skills to manage and manipulate data, format tables/charts, filter and sort information, and support budget or contract tracking activities
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, manage deadlines, and coordinate effectively across teams and agencies
- Ability to develop and present briefings on data findings and trends
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government public trust or security clearance, if required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal contracting, procurement, license management, or acquisition oversight activities
- Prior consulting experience, particularly with federal clients
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
- Familiarity with federal budget execution processes, contract administration, or COR support
- Background in developing or maintaining analytical tools, contract management systems, or project management dashboards
- Demonstrated interest in operational efficiency, data governance, or business process improvement
- Experience with DHS or CISA programs, or existing DHS/CISA Entry on Duty (EOD) or suitability
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid, Onsite approximately 1-2 days per week)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000

New employees are not usually hired at the top of the estimated salary range and salary decisions depend on the circumstances and factors for each case. Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
