Cyber & Risk Management Lead

This is a contingent position based upon contract win.

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Cyber and Risk Management Lead to join our team supporting a federal customer. This position is contingent on contract win.

The Cyber & Risk Management Lead provides senior technical and management leadership for the customer's enterprise IT and cybersecurity risk management program, enabling the CTO, CISO, Risk Committee, and senior leadership to make informed business and technology decisions using accurate, timely, and actionable risk information. The Lead directs enterprise- and division-level risk identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation, compliance, and reporting activities and serves as the technical authority for consistent application of customer risk management processes across organizational and technology domains. The position leads recurring risk assessments; maintains the enterprise risk register; applies defined likelihood and impact scoring; develops and monitors Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); tracks mitigation actions and emerging risks; and develops Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), dashboards, and executive-level reporting. The Lead also evaluates policies, processes, controls, audit and compliance results to identify weaknesses and noncompliance; coordinates risk owners, division risk liaisons, and process owners; and drives corrective and mitigation actions through validation and closure. Applying expert risk and cybersecurity knowledge, the Lead continuously improves ERM procedures, tools, templates, dashboards, workflows, and automation and benchmarks customer practices against COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and applicable Federal cybersecurity and risk-management requirements.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recurring enterprise and division risk assessments through stakeholder interviews and review of incidents, audits, projects, operations, and emerging threats; identify strategic, operational, reporting, compliance, technology, and cybersecurity risks.
• Maintain the enterprise risk register and apply defined likelihood/impact scoring; establish and monitor KRIs/KPIs, trends, emerging risks, and mitigation actions, including monthly follow-up with risk owners.
• Develop Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), ERM dashboards, and concise senior-leadership/Risk Committee reporting that communicates risk exposure, trends, mitigation status, dependencies, and recommended actions.
• Evaluate policies, processes, controls, audits, and compliance reviews to identify weaknesses, noncompliance, and control gaps; coordinate division risk liaisons and process owners to define, track, and validate corrective and mitigation actions.
• Provide ERM guidance, training, templates, tools, expectations, and deadlines to stakeholders; support consistent risk identification, scoring, documentation, escalation, and reporting.
• Improve ERM procedures, dashboards, workflows, and automation; benchmark practices against COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and applicable Federal cybersecurity/risk requirements, and incorporate compliance risks and improvement recommendations into the RAR.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of relevant enterprise risk management, cybersecurity/IT risk, information assurance, governance, compliance, or related experience.
• Senior industry professional certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
• Demonstrated technical/management leadership on major cybersecurity or risk assignments, including establishing goals/plans, directing multidisciplinary activities, and interfacing with senior Government/client leadership.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise/cybersecurity risk assessment, risk registers, likelihood/impact scoring, KRIs/KPIs, mitigation tracking, controls, compliance, and executive risk reporting.
• Experience evaluating security/risk requirements, policies, controls, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues and recommending solutions or corrective actions.
• Experience improving risk processes, tools, dashboards, workflows, templates, or automation and coordinating risk owners, liaisons, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust. At least an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
