Lecturer II - Management Information Systems

The Department of Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences (MIDS) within the Ellis School of Business Leadership (formerly Anderson School of Management) at the University of New Mexico is seeking qualified candidates for a Lecturer II position in Management Information Systems (preferably Cybersecurity), with an anticipated start date of August 2027.

The James & Gail Ellis School of Business Leadership (Ellis) is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA and MBA degrees in eight active concentrations as well as an Executive MBA for working professionals. With over 27,000 alumni, Ellis alums can be found having an impact in their communities all over the world. Ellis emphasizes collaborative student interaction, active adult learning, team experiences, and scholarship that draw upon a variety of methodologies and subject areas.

The MIDS Department faculty supports existing BBA and MBA programs, including concentrations in MIS, and an MS in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics. Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Information Systems (preferably in Cybersecurity).

The Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences group is a small, cohesive group seeking colleagues who demonstrate a willingness to make a commitment to maintaining and building a strong MIS area within the Ellis School of Business Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess an earned master's degree or have a strong prospect for completing a master's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a closely related field from an accredited institution by August 2027.
