Position Overview: As an In-School Financial Wellness Officer, you will connect Visions Federal Credit Union with the Manchester school district and help students, staff, families, and the broader school community build financial confidence. You will lead financial education initiatives, support student interns, coordinate school-based branch activities, and serve as a trusted resource for financial wellness programs and services.

Position Title: In-School Financial Wellness Officer -Manchester High School, NJ

Position Type: Full-Time. Typical shifts include Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:00pm

Compensation Range: $32.48/ hr. -$38.50/hr., *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Position is on-site at our Manchester High School located at 70 Church St., Haledon, NJ

What You'll Do

• Lead an internship program for up to five students and help participants build practical career-readiness skills and deliverables, including resumes, budgets, and interview experience.
• Provide financial education and professional development through individual conversations, group sessions, classroom presentations, and school events.
• Support the creation and ongoing success of a financial literacy club within the assigned school district.
• Process financial transactions accurately, provide exceptional member service, and follow all credit union policies, privacy requirements, and regulatory procedures.
• Build relationships with students, school staff, families, parent groups, and community partners while coordinating workshops, presentations, and financial wellness activities.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the school district and Visions, connecting requests with the appropriate internal partners.
• Promote educational tools and resources, including the Zogo app, and provide regular reporting on financial education efforts.
• Support department programs, regional events, and professional development activities as needed.

What You Bring

• An associate degree and one to two years of experience in financial literacy, business development, education, public speaking, or a related area; three to five years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and member service skills.
• Confidence presenting to groups and building relationships with students, families, educators, and community partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing needs, maintain confidentiality, and work accurately.
• A commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment and supporting Visions' mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Bilingual Spanish fluency, reflecting the needs of the members and communities served.
