The position offices at Golden Valley, but will travel to all MCN sites for routine visits and as needed. Occasional remote work is also supported.

Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology's Project Manager position offers a unique blend of facilitative, collaborative project leadership as well as independent work on project efforts and tasks. Projects will have a wide range from large-scale system initiatives like expanding to new service offerings to more focused projects around workflow improvement and procedure creation.

A successful candidate will be a focused learner and self-starter who digs in to take action while regularly shadowing people and processes to gain context to deliver project work that meets the organization's needs. Staying nimble and flexible in shifting priorities with changing timelines and sometimes limited bandwidth from project participants is important.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing planning, execution, and delivery of key projects organization-wide and specific to departments. This role reports to the Director of Operations and is part of the Operations Leadership team. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating and embedding best practices for project management and process improvement across the organization. This position will coordinate internal teams, external business partners, and key stakeholders to manage the full project lifecycle across all phases of a project for successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Develop and maintain a project request intake process.
  • Develop and manage a prioritization approach tied to strategic goals and ROI.
  • Manage project capacity planning and roadmap.
  • Determine project scope, track details and tasks associated with each project, and develop project plans.
  • Take accountability to define performance indicators of success.
  • Ensure project goals are complete on time, within budget, and maintain high-quality standards.

This role is accountable for creating learning resources and providing education that enables others in the organization to lead and complete projects and process improvement efforts themselves. This role facilitates collaborative change efforts, decision-making, and communications in change management, also ensuring successful sustainment of project outcomes.

Other Key Accountabilities:

* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.

* Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk assessments.

* Lead cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle.

* Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring timely delivery.

* Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams regarding progress, issues, and changes.

* Manage budgets, track expenditures, and provide status reports to senior leadership.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Conduct project performance reviews using defined metrics and key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement post-completion.

* Teach and model project management and process improvement skills & methods to others in the organization.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, IT, or related field.

* Healthcare experience preferred.

* 3-5 years of experience in project management or a related role. PMP certification preferred. Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint, Monday.com, Project, Visio, Miro, Jira, or others)

* Experience training and supporting others in project management techniques and tools desired.

* Competency and ability to guide others in using Lean process improvement and human-centered design methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

* Knowledge and effective use of change management methodology and principles.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Strong customer service orientation.

* Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems.

* Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions.

* Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.

* Driver's license.
