As a senior data strategist in the A/E industry, you have unique and equal insights to offer in effective data collection strategies; tools and platforms that support data analysis; and data science, machine-learning and statistical models that yield true market and business development intelligence. You commonly support strategic decision-making by business, executive, and technology leaders, and translate their needs into action by using strong communication and organization skills. You are well-accustomed to leading the definition, development and evolution of tactics that produce cohesive insight while integrating pure industry research, market trends, forecasting and modeling. You can assess business challenges and opportunities and produce clarity by applying critical thinking skills; you are a 'data storyteller'.

As a professional strategist, you thrive in teams of researchers and market data analysts, providing guidance and oversight on priority and criticality of projects to produce desired intelligence and actionable outcomes that support growth strategy. You are an experienced partner to leaders in geographic areas, regions, and business groups. Your preferred work environment presents regular new and diverse opportunities that require exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine a market research strategy in partnership with the Director of Marketing and Growth; Strategy and Market Development Director; Collaborative Growth team; and technology and financial stakeholders to support proactive identification of market and geographic expansion opportunities.
  • Direct and manage research, objective market data assessment projects and tools that harness client and competitor intelligence, leading indicators of sector-and geographic growth, and other economic, geopolitical, technology innovation, and public opinion factors. Responsible for data quality, integrity, and security within the team and cross-functionally.
  • Consider, select, jointly develop, deploy and govern predictive models, machine-learning algorithms, and statistical analysis to identify trends, risks, and early indicators of opportunity supporting enterprise growth goals. Collaborate closely with financial planning, financial operations, global technology, enterprise transformation, and AI teams.
  • Synthesize and align information from multiple sources to inform business outcomes and support enterprise decision-making.
  • Select and manage research platform accounts for optimal use case, data accuracy, and return on investment.
  • Develop, direct, manage, and adapt business intelligence dashboards for in support of Market Sector, Region, Area, Business Group, and Executive Leaders.
  • Support and inform pursuit and campaign strategy, client service, and competitive positioning.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics or Statistical Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
  • 15 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, or predictive modeling, and forecasting with preference to A/E industry.
  • 5 years of experience leading data analytics teams.
  • Demonstrated success implementing machine learning and AI solutions that generate measurable business value.
  • Successful development of effective business intelligence dashboards that align with growth goals and objectives.
  • Experience with data service and warehousing platforms such as AlphaSense, Dodge Analytics, Global Data, CB Insights, S&P, Snowflake, and similar, and API integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of the A/E industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-business collaboration efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaboration with Area, Region, Market Sector, Business Group, and Corporate leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000-$160,000 depending on skills, experience, and education. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
