The Deputy Constable assists the Constable and assumes the full responsibility of the Constable in his or her absence. A Deputy Constable possesses the powers and may perform the duties allowed by law for the office of the Constable. We Require This position requires a High School diploma or GED. Other Requirements The Deputy Constable must be an AZPOST-certified law enforcement officer (Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training). The selected candidate must pass a law enforcement background check and possess a valid Arizona driver's license in good standing. We Also Value Our preferred candidate will have prior police experience and skill in dealing with difficult and/or violent situations. Job Contributions
Working Conditions The Deputy Constable may encounter verbally and physically abusive defendants when serving orders of protection, seizing property, and evicting defendants from their homes and residences.
