Leading a team of RTEs, Release Managers, and Technical Project Managers, this role serves as the delivery "control tower," ensuring predictable execution, integrated planning, risk and dependency management, release readiness, and executive visibility across the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings deep Agile/SAFe expertise and a proven track record delivering AI-native products in partnership with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Quality, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Operations teams, while incorporating AI governance, compliance, and operational requirements into delivery planning and execution.

Location: Open to Remote Work in the US, Chicago, IL is highly preferred.
What You'll Do
Program Leadership & Governance
  • Lead delivery execution across one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs), providing oversight and coordination across RTEs, Release Managers, and Technical Project Managers/Scrum Masters.
  • Establish governance forums, operating cadences, escalation mechanisms, and executive reporting to provide visibility into delivery progress, risks, dependencies, readiness, and outcomes.
  • Align product roadmaps and delivery plans with strategic priorities, business commitments, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish lifecycle gates and facilitate evidence-based milestone decisions with clear criteria, ownership, and escalation paths.
Integrated Planning & Delivery Management
  • Drive integrated planning across pods, ARTs, releases, platforms, shared services, partners, and key business milestones.
  • Align PI objectives, release commitments, dependencies, and capacity plans across teams.
  • Facilitate prioritization, sequencing, trade-offs, and recovery decisions while identifying critical-path issues and driving corrective actions.
  • Coordinate execution across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Quality, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Operations to improve delivery predictability.
Risk, Dependency & Issue Management
  • Maintain visibility into program-level risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions, ensuring clear ownership, mitigation plans, and escalation thresholds.
  • Manage cross-pod and cross-ART dependencies and proactively address risks that threaten delivery commitments.
  • Identify technical, AI quality, customer, security, privacy, legal, accessibility, and operational risks early in the lifecycle.
  • Drive timely cross-functional decisions and resolution of delivery blockers.
Release Planning & Readiness
  • Oversee release and integration planning, readiness reviews, dependency validation, operational readiness, and milestone execution.
  • Establish evidence-based readiness criteria covering testing, AI quality, operational support, monitoring, controlled rollout, and rollback readiness.
  • Facilitate cross-functional go/no-go decisions and lead recovery planning for at-risk commitments.
  • Ensure release plans address customer impact, support, communications, incident response, and post-launch ownership.
  • Lead post-launch reviews and ensure actions are assigned, tracked, and closed.
Continuous Improvement & Agile Enablement
  • Drive adoption of Lean-Agile and SAFe practices across ARTs while evolving governance based on product risk and organizational maturity.
  • Use customer feedback, quality signals, incidents, post-launch outcomes, and delivery metrics to improve future releases.
  • Standardize and scale effective governance, planning, reporting, and delivery practices across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of program, portfolio, or large-scale delivery management experience.
  • 5+ years working within Agile and SAFe delivery organizations.

  • Experience integrating responsible AI, security, privacy, legal, accessibility, quality, and regulatory requirements into delivery governance.
  • Experience leading evidence-based lifecycle gates, release-readiness reviews, and post-launch reviews.
