The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is seeking a Research Lab Technician II to assist in providing support in the Learning, Development, and Rehabilitation Laboratory directed by Dr. Kari Kretch. This is a fixed-term benefits-eligible position (with possibility for extension) at 60% effort (24 hours/week). This position is ideal for recent college graduates looking to gain research experience before applying to graduate school or industry research positions, or for clinicians looking to transition into a research career. Research in the lab focuses on understanding the development of motor skills in infants with and without neurodevelopmental disabilities, and on developing early motor interventions that promote exploration, learning and global development. Our work is highly interdisciplinary and integrates developmental psychology, movement science, and rehabilitation science. The technician will primarily work on an NIH-funded study using wearables and home video recordings to study everyday experiences in infants and toddlers with Down syndrome.
