Candidates should apply for consideration in the Professor series if they currently have or plan to engage in independent research within a specific field, in addition to teaching and service. Candidates should apply for consideration in the Teaching Professor series if their efforts are focused particularly on excellent teaching while engaging in a program of professional and/or scholarly activity, and service. Faculty in both series are members of the academic senate.

The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027.

The Faculty Director will lead strategic planning, corporate outreach, and fundraising for the program, in addition to assuming responsibility for the design and management of the curriculum and co- curricular experience of the M.E.T. students. The Faculty Director will teach M.E.T.-specific core courses each year that will integrate technology and business entrepreneurship.

The Management, Entrepreneurship, & Technology (M.E.T.) Program at UC Berkeley delivers a world-class dual-degree education to a tight-knit, highly driven cohort of students bridging technology and business. By combining world-class instruction and a robust Silicon Valley industry interface with dedicated academic coaching, career advising, and integrated program-specific coursework, M.E.T. equips students with both technical mastery and business leadership capabilities. Through curated internship access, specialized mentoring, and co-curricular activities, the program fosters a supportive community.
