The Opportunity: The Chilled Water division currently has four (4) utility plants, which produce and deliver over 37,000,000 ton-hours of cooling annually to campus facilities. The use of centrally located plants benefits UCF by reducing building energy consumption and eliminating less efficient stand-alone cooling at each of the campus buildings. The department is seeking to hire a Centrifugal Chiller Technician II with a minimum of two (2) years' experience performing maintenance and repairs to plant buildings, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, actuators, underground distribution pipes, valves, and vaults. The incumbent will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the University's Central Energy Plants. At this level, the Chiller Technician must have the advanced technical knowledge.
