Job Description

MISSION: The Quality Inspector is a dedicated to ensuring conforming products are received, produced, and delivered in accordance with customer requirements and NuWaves' Quality Management System. This position is key to product conformity and overall customer satisfaction. This individual identifies, documents, reports, and assists in the resolution of any non-conforming incoming, in-process, or outgoing material. With IPC-A-610 certification and industry knowledge, this individual successfully identifies defects on circuit card assemblies, cables, and chassis.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND YEAR 1 METRICS:



  • Within 30 days, be able to conduct quality inspections in alignment with IPC-A-610, AS9100D, and NuWaves' Quality Management System for incoming material, in-process material, and outgoing shipments. Includes the following:

    • Incoming Chassis, PCBs, cables, and other custom parts
    • Incoming material identified as high-risk for counterfeiting
    • In-process inspections for CCAs and top-level assembly
    • Final inspection of finished goods
    • Final review of shipment
    • Inspection of chassis or other items from internal machine shop
    • First Article Inspection Reports, as necessary


  • Within 60 days, be able to reject material failing inspection, accurately document issues through NuWaves' nonconformance processes, and work cross-domain and with external vendors to determine appropriate disposition.
  • Within 6 months, be integrated with NuWaves' Quality Team to execute on tasks related to Quality Management and continuous improvement.
  • Within 3 months, be able to identify improvements in the inspection process and educate teammates on required quality processes from an inspection perspective.


Typical Education and Experience: 2-5 years of work experience in Quality Inspections.

Salary: $40K - $60K annually
