City/State Charlottesville, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Ortho Pantops Office is now hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Scribe in Charlottesville, VA! Hours:Monday-Friday, Dayshift. NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS! Overview The MA Scribe will function in two distinct roles, MA and clinical scribe. This unique role will manage the patient's entire visit to include but not limited to clinical pre-visit planning, a detailed rooming process, perform clinical office procedures, and scribe provider directed documentation into the EMR. The MA Scribe will perform data collection, chart clinical patient encounters in real time during assessments, plans of care, and discharges as dictated by the Physician, Provider, Clinician, and or Therapist in a practice setting. The MA Scribe will document information into the electronic health record. Edit as necessary and return reports in electronic form for review, correction, approval and signature. Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Education HS Diploma Certification/Licensure Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days from hire Experience Clinical/Adminsirative Experience 1 year preferred Keywords: Medical Assistant, Talroo-Allied Health, Monster, RMA, CMA, CCMA, Paramedic, EMT, Scribe We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity.
