Team Leader

We are looking for a skilled 2ndshift Production Team Lead to work out of our PolyMaskPlant located in Aurora, IL.

This position is 1PM-9PM

Summary

The person hired for the position of Production Lead will provide supervisory support for manufacturing operations within the plant and isresponsible for driving safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizingproper work methods, proceduresand equipment



  • Providing direct supervision to production and temporary employees



  • Ability to work 2nd shift 1PM-9PM



  • Handling shiftadministrative activities such as time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime and etc.



  • Evaluating employees' performance and provide feedback



  • Driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality



  • Monitoring daily work schedules, determinepriorities, allocatework assignments, and regulate production processes in order tomeet specific daily production requirements



  • Supporting manufacturing efforts and projects



  • Reports to Production Supervisor with responsibility for operations and employees in the same plant areas



  • Any other improvement projects as outlined by Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Production Supervisor



  • Actively participatein all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives



  • Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment



  • Understands and supports PolyMaskQuality Policy.





  • Understands PolyMaskQuality Objectives, and aids in the achievement of them.



  • Contributes to the continual improvement of PolyMask'sQuality Management System by following current written policies, procedures, and work instructions, etc., while providing constructive feedback, input, and suggestions.

What We Look For



  • High School diploma or higher from an accredited institution



  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment



  • Minimum of five(5) combined years of supervisory and/or leadership experience



  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal



  • Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere



  • Ability to drive and influence positive change



  • Ability to quantify results, identifynew opportunities, adapt to changeand interfacewith all levels of management



  • Basic computer skills (SAP knowledge is a plus)
