Introduction to the job

This opening - Senior Electron Optics Engineer, will play a key role in electron optical concept design for next generation e-beam metrology and inspection systems, and also take a critical responsibility to develop new critical technology and key module according to company's electron beam technology and product roadmap

Role and responsibilities
  • Generate new electron optical design concept of electron optics system for next generation e-beam metrology and inspection systems.
  • Design and prototyping electron source and column. This includes mechanical design and vacuum design of electron source and column which could meet system performance requirement. Make detailed simulation and design reports.
  • Develop new ideas to overcome design bottlenecks limiting the electron optical performance of the system.
  • Provide input to system specification, system error budget and interfaces.
  • Assemble and test electron optics sub-modules, and integrate the sub-modules into the full system.
  • Perform basic performance test on test bench, and write test reports.

Education and experience

PhD with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • 5+ of Years of electron optical relevant experience
  • Physics, Applied Physics or Mechanical Engineering background
  • 3+ years' experience on vacuum system design, material process and mechanical design
  • 1 to 2 years' experience with mechanical design tools (i.e. Solidworks, NX, etc.)
  • Strong English communication skills - both written and oral, ability to influence, stakeholder management, etc.
  • project management skill are preferred.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$155,625-259,375

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
